Massage should never be excessively painful. If you experience discomfort, please tell us so the pressure can be adjusted. Deep tissue massage can sometimes cause mild discomfort, particularly in areas where there is significant muscle tension or "knots," such as the upper back, shoulders, and neck. I may apply deeper pressure to help release tight muscles and ease tension. The treatment should remain within your comfort level, so please let me know if the pressure feels too intense. Some soreness for 24–48 hours after treatment is normal and usually settles quickly.
